I *think* we can safely say that Iris is glad to be out of isolation! It's been a long 10 days, you really don't realise how much kids need to get out and about until you're confined to your own house and garden- I am so appreciative that we have a garden, I couldn't imagine handling the heat of the last week without a paddling pool and some shade!
Pre-school has opened today until Wednesday as planned, I ummed and ahhed over whether to send Iris in but the virus is so rife at the minute that she could pick it up anywhere, not just school so she's gone in for her last two days before preschool breaks up for the summer. I really think she needed to see her friends and teachers and see that everyone is okay- she's been so concerned about them having germs. I'm glad that she'll have a proper end of term and although I'm a little hesitant about my first six week holidays as a parent I am looking forward to making lots of memories.

It's been such a tough time with the virus and I can only see it getting worse if I'm honest - I wish it would all just end now.
ReplyDeleteIt’s good she got to go back even if it was only for a few days - fingers crossed you get through the holidays without any more isolation needed!
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased she got to see everyone before the summer. I can just imagine how long the isolation felt! x
ReplyDeleteWe did the same and ended up sending Flo back for the last 5 days. It’s nice that they at least finished the term x
ReplyDeleteI would have sent mine back too even if only for a couple of days. Hope you are having a wonderful Summer and making lots of memories x
