'You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth' Khalil Gibran.
I bought a trampoline. For some reason I've always disliked trampolines, I think they ruin the aesthetics of a garden in a way that a nice wooden play house doesn't. My dream was to have a lovely coordinated play area where my child can potter and entertain themselves. I set my expectations far too high.
I mentioned in last week's Living Arrows post that Iris is a bundle of energy and she really needs to burn it off or she's grumpy and difficult to be around so I solved the problem with a trampoline. I really do hate the look of it but it makes her so happy and to be honest it's even given me a mood boost when I've been bouncing on it with her. It makes us laugh and it gives her a safe place to burn some energy whilst I sit and watch through the window, sipping a hot cuppa and not freezing on the side lines of a park! Thanks For Reading,

This is definitely, without a shadow of a doubt what we need... where did you get yours? They ruin the grass, I'm worried she'll break her neck but oh. my. life. she needs to burn the energy!!!

We got the 8ft Sportspower one from Argos. I do worry about her injuring herself but at the moment she's only doing little bounces on it! x
DeleteOoh we've been wondering about getting a trampoline - think it would be good for my two. I do worry about the safety a bit - don't want any broken ankles!! Which type did you get? xx
ReplyDeleteWe got the 8 ft one from Argos. It feels really sturdy and comes with a safety net so she can't fall off the side x
DeleteI know what you mean - trampolines are an eyesore! ha! I much prefer pretty playhouses and climbing frames! x
ReplyDeleteWe also have a trampoline and it has really kept the boys moving over lockdown and they love it. I am sure you will get tons of use out of it and a lot of happy memories. Although I am with you on the fact it does spoil the look of the garden.
ReplyDeleteI had the same feelings about trampolines and swore we wouldn't get one but eventually decided the boys would love it so much that it was worth it. We got one about 18 months ago now and they play on it all the time. They were on there for about an hour and a half today while we were working on the garden and it was brilliant. Definitely worth the investment!
