'You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth' Khalil Gibran.
Here they are again, my two babies and the two bestest of friends. The media give Staffies a bad reputation and in a way I understand why, it seems that staffies attack and cause serious injuries more than most other breeds but I think it's more to do with the fact that they can more easily cause more serious damage rather than staffies being more prone to attacking. In my experience I've seen exactly why Staffies are often referred to as 'nanny dogs'.
Ian dotes on Iris, he follows her around like a love sick puppy. Everywhere she goes, he has to be. They read together, they play together and they get on my nerves together! They are a noisy, hyperactive duo that thunder around our house but when they quiet down and snuggle together it makes me heart burst.
I don't know what they are doing in this picture or why she has gloves on with pyjamas but whatever is happening I love that Ian has the patience to endure it.
Thanks For Reading,

They look like they have just the best relationship. We are a family of Staffie lovers and I always really appreciate people sharing their positive Staffie stories. They do get bad press and I think a lot of it is that people don't understand them x
ReplyDeleteThey look like best friends! My friend had a staffie and he's been the only one I have ever spent time with, he was such a sweetie.
ReplyDeleteAww, it's lovely to hear they are such good friends. My boys are both scared of dogs (and I'm allergic) so it's unlikely we'll ever get one but I always think dogs can make such good companions for children.
