Living Arrows | Our Sunday Best

'You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth' Khalil Gibran. 

At the weekend we attended our wonderful nieces christening. It was held at the church in the village where Dan grew up and it is a truly wonderful church, set back from the main street in it's own woodland clearing. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and everyone was feeling the love.


I really enjoyed the whole family coming together and I loved the sense of village community surrounding the church. I would love to move to a village but at this point in life it's just not practical but hopefully it's something that can happen in the future.

I grew up in a reasonably religious family and I attended a church of England school so it felt quite nostalgic heading to church on a Sunday. I'd forgotten the sense of peaceful belonging I feel in a church. It was lovely to put on our Sunday best and spend the day celebrating with the people we love.

Also you don't need to spend a lot to look fabulous, Iris got so many compliments on her dress and it was a mere £3!
