'You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth' Khalil Gibran.
Iris has loved every bit of food she has tried and hasn't turned her nose up at anything. She is a joy to eat with and sits beautifully whilst we all eat together. Before we had Iris we would slouch in front of the tv, not really talking to each other, not really concentrating on what we were eating and just using the time we were eating to shut down.
Now we have Iris our most used item of furniture is our dining table and it's so wonderful. We are all really enjoying sitting together, talking about our day, laughing and connecting with each other. I think it's really important that Iris learns table manners and understands how to sit and eat a meal.
There are no words for how much I love this picture. I think it perfectly sums up the sheer joy of a baby discovering and exploring food....and yes that is a clump of tuna in her hair.

I can completely relate to this. Having the children made us really enjoy and embrace meal times - Iris sounds like she loves those times too x
